Technical Description 
The model permits investigation of friction in journal and roller bearings. Friction moments can be measured and comparisons made between different bearing designs. It is also possible to perform experiments on the dynamics of rotation. The flywheel's bearing journal can be mounted in different ways with this model. This is achieved through the use of three easily interchangeable journal bearing shells made from different materials. A roller bearing pair is also provided as an alternative mounting.
The model is intended for wall mounting. The well-structured instructional material outlines the technological fundamentals and provides a step-by-step guide through the experiments.
