Product Details


Technical Description
The panel contains a complete closed heating circuit with circulating pump, electrical heater, heat exchanger for dissipating heat, various pipe sections, fittings and a pressure expansion vessel. The panel demonstrates the function of a temperature controller in a heating system using a standard PID controller or a software controller. The pressure drop across different elements in a pipe system can be investigated. Using the data acquisition card supplied, the data is transmitted to a PC for processing.
The training panel can be fitted to the HL 100 Universal Stand.

Learning Objectives / Experiments
· Familiarisation with a simple heating circuit
· Familiarisation with the fundamental principles of a simple temperature control system
· Familiarisation with a 2-point controller (on-off controller) with PID behaviour
