TM 110.01: Supplementary Kit Inclined Plane and Friction

Print Ask to this Articlel

Supplementary Kit Inclined Plane and Friction

Product Details

(TM110.01) Supplementary Kit Inclined Plane and Friction

Technical Description

This supplementary set is used in conjunction with the apparatus for statics experiments TM 110 to demonstrate spring elongation (Hooke's law), mechanical friction and the force ratios on inclines. The sturdy and clear design of the parts set permits its use in student and demonstration experiments and contains all required single parts and tools. A sample object is used for the friction experiments, which has several different friction surfaces. Rollers can also be quickly attached to the object. An anodised aluminum rail is used as a sliding counterpart. A helical spring (steel) is used for the proof of Hooke's law.

Learning Objectives / Experiments
- Elongation of a helical spring, Hooke's law
- Sliding friction in relation to supporting force, supporting surface and
material quality of a sample object, comparison with rolling friction
- Determination of the friction coefficient
- Investigation of the incline

Features
* Supplementary experiment for visualising spring
  elongation, inclines and mechanical friction
